Music may be classified as a performing art, a fine art, and auditory art.To many people in many cultures music is an important part of their way of life. Music is tones such as melodies and harmonies.

A performance can either be rehearsed or improvised. Improvisation is done with repetition. A deaf people can experience music by feeling the vibrations in their body, a process which can be enhanced if the individual holds a resonant, hollow object.
